Inspiration
Mar de Noche is inspired by the sea at its most mysterious hour. The moment when the shoreline grows quiet, the sky darkens into indigo, and the water begins to mirror the moon above it. Its flowing pattern evokes gentle waves in constant motion, capturing the calm rhythm of a night spent by the sea.
Like all Objects of Sofia pieces, it reimagines an enduring object through memory and feeling. Not simply as an accessory, but as a companion to small rituals, warm evenings, and journeys both real and imagined.
Know How
Each fan is made by hand by Spanish families who have folded fans for generations. The polished wood sticks are cut and shaped by hand, the cotton leaf hand-pleated and assembled to the frame with care. Because every piece is made slowly and by hand, small natural variations in colour and finish are part of its character, the quiet proof that a real person made it.
